Join Starfleet Academy was a marketing initiative from Nokia and Verizon to increase awareness about the 2009 Star Trek movie. The site was built in a very short timeline, somewhere around 3 weeks. We built it using Flash in AS3, and the entire site was planned around tiered release of content. Games, exclusive images, and videos were all released in the weeks leading up to the movie. I was heavily involved in all parts of this site, in development and the overall site concept. The games were especially fun since they all tied to a single storyline, which mirrored some of the action in the movie.
Coke's Live Positively site was released to increase public awareness about all of the community outreach programs that Coke has. This site was built using the Flex 3.0 Framework, and won the Adobe Site of the Day. Much like many of the other sites at Moxie, this site was built to support continued updates at regular intervals.
Like the Star Trek site, this was another partnership with Verizon and Nokia, but for the 2008 Batman release. Most of my work on this site was related to planning and concepting the experience of navigating inside Gotham City. It was also built using Flash and AS3.
Home Depot TV was my first project for Home Depot. It is a huge hub containing all of their online videos, housing everything from how to videos to their tv spots. Right now the site has well over 300 videos, and is controlled by a CMS.
Ultimate Garage is a site to promote the garage season. Did you know there is such a thing as a garage season? It mostly shows off shiny products in very nice garages. The challenge in this site was the assembly of the 360 view of the interior of the garages. The photographer didn't actually shoot the interior correctly, but by doing lots of tricks I managed to make it look like a seamless view.
Just like garage seasons, there are patio seasons too! Built in Javascript, the Patio Accessory Finder lets you match up a series of plain items to a pattern, to produce a final product that you can then order. You might not be able to tell but there are probably 100 - 200 different products available just for your patio! This site is also maintained from a CMS, since promotions and products change often.
Warning! Suspect should be considered unique and eccentric! Subject has a known fascination with technology, and a strange love of dinosaurs.
Associates have reported that he is quick to argue about how Marvel comics are vastly inferior to DC Comics, and how Soundwave was secretly masterminding all of Megatron's activities. He has also been known to complain incessently that Helen was the worst possible final cylon and that (insert random castmember) would have been a better choice. Whatever you do, don't suggest that it should have been Baltar.
Subject's interests include illustration, rabid consumption of good TV shows, and learning as many programming languages as his brain can hold. He also religiously refreshes the Diablo 3 main page every day in hopes of seeing a new playable character class update. Recent reports list him to be located somewhere in the area of Atlanta GA, although he has been known to wander aimlessly between several locations.
